Drivers who are leaving the Gratigny Parkway or the northbound Palmetto Expressway will soon be welcomed to town with a new sign planned for the right swale of the 14500 block of Northwest 77th Street in Miami Lakes. Shown on Jan. 9 at Royal Oaks Park are from left: Miami Lakes Town Manager Edward Pidermann; Realtor Eddie Blanco; Mayor Josh Dieguez; Realtor Sergio Duran; Realtor Jose Garcia; Fla. Sen. Ana Maria Rodriguez, R-Doral; Realtor Jonathan Alfonso; Councilman Angelo Cuadra Garcia; Vice Mayor Bryan Morera; Council members Steven Herzberg, Ray Garcia and Juan Carlos Fernandez, who is also a Realtor; Realtor Alejandro Nunez; Realtor Jeanette Pressman and Realtor Rosario Navarro. The sign is a gift to the town from the MIAMI Association of Realtors. The organization won a National Association of REALTORS grant to enhance public spaces, it said on Instagram. The cities of Hialeah, Doral and Miami Springs have also received signs.
Miami Lakes’ sign will be displayed at Royal Oaks Park until state and county authorities approve installation at its permanent home, the town said.
