OLL hosts ACC North Division 'Dig Pink' volleyball tournament

On October 1, Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School hosted the All Catholic Conference North Division “Dig Pink” volleyball games as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On the first day, the “Dig Pink” games raised over $200 for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Miami. The goal is to raise $1,000 and educate girls about this important cause. Other “Dig Pink” games were held on October 8 and 14. 

The Lady Cheetahs were able to celebrate their first victory by defeating Immaculate Conception 25-8, 25-10. Veroneeka Dorval demonstrated great serves, and Vanessa Perez-Robles, Gaby Perez-Robles, and Kristen Flietas were recognized for their overall play. In other OLL sports news, the boy’s varsity volleyball team finished the regular season at 7-2 and made the ACC volleyball playoffs for the first time. 

They played St. Louis at Belen Jesuit School on October 15. The varsity boy’s flag football team defeated St. Lawrence in a double header on October 3. The scores were 12-6 and 19-6. Julien Rosario had 6 sacks and 2 touchdown catches while Matthew Sarduey had 5 touchdown passes.
