Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School’s primary Gold Basketball team remains in first place in the All Catholic Conference (ACC)) North Division. Under the direction of coach Ulisses Hernandez, the team is 7-0 with one game left to play.
The most recent win was a 30-11 victory over St. Anges. The team was led offensively by Dimitri Hernandez with 15 points, and defensively by Brandon Ravelo and Adam Magoulas.
The primary Blue Basketball team defeated St. Patrick, 29-13. The team was led by Chris Musa with 13 points and Samuel Carballo with 6 points. The team has allowed only two points in the second half and is now 3-3 on the season.
The JV Girls Basketball team achieved their first victory in late January against St. Patrick’s, 10-6. The Lady Cheetahs are 1-2 on the season.
The JV Baseball team defeated St. Theresa 12-0 in late January. Sixth-grader Frank Perez Jr. threw a complete game no hitter for the Cheetahs.
On February 10, the Cheetahs defeated Immaculate Conception 4-1 led by outstanding pitching from Adrian Vega. The team is now 6-0 on the season.
