After winning numerous awards in district competition, 19 students from Monsignor Edward Pace High School competed in the Florida FBLA State Leadership Conference at the Hilton Orlando on March 19-22.
The students attended the event with Hedda Falcon, their Future Business Leaders of America Advisor and Lead Teacher for Pace’s STEM Academy – Emerging Computer Technologies Program.
Sophomores Armando Barbosa, Brian Gonzalez, and Andrew Sanchez placed fourth in the Mobile Application Development category with their application School Time, an app designed as an interactive calendar for Pace.
Sophomore Savion Constable and junior Francisco Pinagel placed fourth in the Computer Video Game Programming category for designing and coding a video game where players destroy viruses taking over a computer. For placing in state competition, these five now have the opportunity to go to the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago to be held on June 29-July 2.
