This is Thunder. A 17-year-old Fox Terrier, he lives in Miami Lakes with Odette and Joel Velazquez.
Good medical care, vitamins and homemade, blended meals have all contributed to Thunder’s long life, Odette Velazquez said.
“I began cooking for him three years ago,” she said. “Everything has to be 99 percent fat free, turkey or chicken with sweet potatoes and carrots and string beans.”
Thunder is very close to her husband, she said.
The pup likes to play with his ball and until recently was a hunter of lizards and frogs. He also enjoys eating and napping.
“He’s very friendly,” she said, unless you are a cat.
