Kiwi is a Goldendoodle who lives on the west side of Miami Lakes with Tatiana Alvarez and her husband, Kevin Abraham.

Among the 1-year-old pup’s most enjoyable pastimes: weekend trips aboard the Freebee to Main Street and visits to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, where she can get treats.

“She’s very playful,” Alvarez said. “Playing catch and cuddling are her favorite things.”

Kiwi likes to hang out with her dog father Kobe, who lives nearby.

“She also loves my niece, Rayleen,” Alvarez about the child and Kiwi who are close in age. “We put Rayleen in her walker and they chase each other around the house.”

Not related to Kiwi or her owners, a town resident and dog owner recently called about the amount of pet waste he sees during his walks near Barbara Goleman Senior High School. Let’s make Miami Lakes a model community for pets, too: Clean up after your dog. Animal waste attracts vermin and is very unpleasant to encounter in shared public spaces such as walking paths and sidewalks.
