Painting With A Twist, the bring-your-own-beverage painting studio that encourages amateur artists to tackle famous paintings with the help of a teacher, is coming to Miami Lakes.
The four partners who franchised Painting With A Twist, Yirka and Alex Marban, Ignacio Menendez and Yaime Riveiro are surprisingly not artists, but all enjoyed taking classes at Painting With A Twist and hoped to open their own.
Their dream was realized with the upcoming grand opening for Painting With A Twist, Miami Lakes in early January at the Promenade Building at 15100 N.W. 67 Avenue, Suite 111.
The new studio has already generated a lot of buzz from the community and the Marbans have responded to emails and visits from eager painters.
Painting With A Twist is a painting class led by a teaching artist who provides step-by-step instructions on how to paint the piece of the night. Over 4,000 copyrighted images included several famous paintings are in the database and are scheduled throughout the month for general classes. Painting With A Twist also offers private party opportunities with the choice of the client's selected painting.
“We walk to the movie theaters and we eat at the Thai place on Main Street,” said Alex Marban. “This is our neighborhood and our home. If we don’t have to leave it, we don’t.”
The owners have hired fresh talent to lead their classes and are looking forward to their grand opening celebration which will feature weekday evening classes and multiple weekend classes.
The closest Painting With A Twist location to the area is in Midtown, Miami, a far reach for many Miami Lakes residents who will only need a short walk to the newest location in Miami Lakes’ Town Center.
The business owners are also eager to give back to the community they have been a part of for so long, noting that they will be hosting and funding local charities with their new business.
