Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr., State Senator Rene Garcia and the Palm Springs North Civic Association are inviting area residents to celebrate the holiday season with them during the Palm Springs North Christmas Festival, scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, December 12, and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 13.
The two-day event will take place at Norman and Jean Reach Park, 7901 N.W. 176 Street.
The event features the lighting of the Christmas tree, the arrival of Santa Claus, rides, food, games, a live Nativity and performances by choirs from local schools and churches.
Participants are asked to bring their Christmas wish list, cameras to take pictures with Santa and a new unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots to help less fortunate kids share in the Christmas spirit.
