Representative Manny Diaz Jr. recently took a tour of the new University of Miami Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM CARD) in Miami Lakes.
The new center joins six other state-funded locations that are dedicated to providing support and guidance for people with autism and other autism related disorders.
“The University of Miami CARD location in Miami Lakes will do a great deal of good for our community,” Diaz said. “It provides an invaluable service for people with autism and their families as well.
The Miami Lakes UM CARD office opened on January 14 at 5801 N.W. 151 Street, Suite 203.
