Miami Lakes resident, Kristina Martinez Costa, celebrates her graduation from Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine with high academic honors. Costa is specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.
At the time of her graduation, Costa received awards including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Outstanding Achievement in Service, Sigma Sigma Phi recognition, Gold Humanism Honor Society, and Psi Sigma Alpha recognition for placing in the top 10 percent of her graduating class.
Costa is currently working as a resident out of state and plans to return to Miami Lakes upon completion. Costa comes from a previous generation of educated, Miami Lakes based professionals. Costa’s mother, Helen, is a local attorney as is her uncle Maurice, for Costa & Associates, P.A.
Costa’s uncle, Maurice, said “As you can imagine, we are ridiculously proud of her hard work and achievements. We are all very excited that she is at the hospital she chose, gaining the experience she needs to hopefully return to Miami Lakes and open her own practice.”
