Ribbon Cutting: Zen Canine Club

     Miami Lakes Mayor Josh Dieguez was briefly in the doghouse at Zen Canine Club during a ribbon cutting party on Aug. 13. With him is business co-founder Katherine Del Pino and her Dachshund Jelly Bean. She and co-owner Jose Del Pino started the dog day care-boarding-grooming business that also offers obedience classes and Reiki energy healing, at 15512 NW 77th Court in Royal Oaks Plaza. 

     The business was welcomed to town by Treasurer Rafael Schuck and Counsel Rudy Blanco of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Matthew Casamayor, chair of the Economic Development Committee. Elected officials at the event included Vice Mayor Bryan Morera; Councilmen Ray Garcia; Angelo Cuadra Garcia and Steven Herzberg, and David Marin, Policy Director from Miami-Dade Commissioner Sen. Rene Garcia’s office.
