Scene in Miami Lakes

Miami-Dade Police Mounted Unit officers Danny Egress, on the horse at left, and Officer Jose Trujillo greet a child on the patio of El Novillo Restaurant on New Barn Road in Miami Lakes on Sept. 28.

The officers were in town to attend the Bike Rodeo and Safety Day presented by the Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force.
