Shula’s Athletic Club, located at 15150 Bull Run Road, Miami Lakes, asks the community to join #TeamShula in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout the month of October the athletic club will be raising funds with a variety of events. The proceeds will go toward the Miami Lakes organization, Women’s Breast and Heart Initiative, whose mission is to save lives by connecting at-risk and underserved women in the community with the prevention and early detection necessary to fight cancer and heart disease.

As part of fundraising, the Athletic Club will be raffling tickets for the opportunity to win a Dolphins football autographed by defensive end Olivier Vernon or cleats autographed by tackle Branden Albert. Stop by the front desk to purchase tickets at $5 per chance or $20 for 5 chances. Winners will be announced during the dodgeball tournament. The fundraising goal for the raffle is $1,500.

The Athletic Club’s Dodgeball Tournament on Saturday, October 24 at 10 a.m. will accept teams up to 10 players, $10 per person. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. All players will have a chance to win autographed Dolphins memorabilia and each player on the winning team gets a trophy. Those interested in participating can email yohn.diaz@grahamhospitality.com or call 305-820-3025 to ask Yohn for more details and to register.

Additionally, the Athletic Club will donate $100 for breast cancer awareness for every person who signs up for training in October. Training sessions are $150 and include 4 sessions to be used within 30 days, a chance to win autographed Dolphins memorabilia and complimentary registration on an exclusive personal training team at the dodgeball tournament. Some restrictions may apply.
