Kindergarten students from Spanish Lake Elementary celebrated the Chinese New Year to mark the Year of the Sheep. The students learned about respect and cultural diversity as they were exposed to the traditions of others. Students learned that those born under the Year of the Sheep, which comes every 12 years, are said to be kind-hearted, creative, friendly, and just. It is also foretold to be a very calm year.
