Teacher’s FAST Test 5 club enjoys lunch

Miami Lakes K-8 Center language arts teacher Virnalis Arvelo treated 16 students to dinner at ML Steaks +  Sports. The annual tradition by Arvelo celebrates her eighth-grade students who score a 5 on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking. Arvelo started the tradition in 2010 and has maintained it through the years.

     “We have so many exceptional and hard-working students at Miami Lakes K-8 Center and I wish them all much success in high school!,” Arvelo wrote in an email.
