Teachers retire from Immaculate Conception Catholic School

Three teachers, each with decades of experience, retired before the start of the 2020 – 2021 school year from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Hialeah.

Anne Clay taught Mathematics and joined the faculty in 1973. Elida Cantillo began teaching in 1985, and her primary focus was the Resource Program for students who needed extra attention in Mathematics or Reading to achieve academic success. Kathy Callow taught English and grammar, beginning in 1974.

Immaculate Conception High School is at 125 W. 45h St. Students are enrolled in Pre-K through eighth grades. Immaculate Conception said because of the limits on social gathering during the pandemic, it was unable to give the teachers a worthy send-off to retirement. The school said it hopes to honor the educators properly when it is safe to do so. Photos courtesy of the school.
