Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee hosted the 8th annual Health and Wellness Fair on September 21 at the Royal Oaks Park Community Center.
The free community event featured more than 30 local organizations offering information and resources for living a healthy lifestyle. Vendors also provided free blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings.
The event was sponsored by Catholic Hospice, Memorial Plan, Chenmed, Humana and Avmed. Leon Medical Centers sponsored the DJ, while Elite Home Care and Palmetto Rehab sponsored the raffle items.
