Miami Lakes applauds a group of four officers and one sergeant who were recently named finalists for the Officer of the Year Award from the Dade County Police Benevolent Association.
For their exemplary team efforts in December 2014, Sergeant G. Soto, and Officers N. Montesino, R. Luis, R. Amador and A. Baez are nominated for successfully capturing a suspect who was attempting a home invasion robbery.
The award winner will be announced at the 22nd annual Dade County Police Benevolent Association Law Enforcement Awards Gala on Saturday, May 16, in Doral.
