Town to host workshop on Neighborhood Service Districts

     The Town of Miami Lakes is hosting a quarterly Neighborhood Service District town council workshop on Jan. 16. 

     The purpose of the meeting is for the council to address residents’ concerns about entrance gates and lake maintenance in the six Neighborhood Service Districts.

     Residents of homeowner associations built around lakes are also invited to participate and learn about how to hold voluntary NSD elections, said John P. Yanes, the town’s special projects manager for parks. 

     Interested communities may also learn about how to transition into an NSD if there is consensus among residents, he said.

     The workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St.
