     “With family and friends at my house,” Alexa Amat Diez said. “It’s more [of a] barbecue, having friends and family over. Maybe our neighbors as well, so it will be a small get-together at my house.”

     “I will be going to the Marlins baseball game and catch the fireworks there in the day,” Rodolfo Blanco wrote in an email.  “Then catch a nice cookout and in the evening, go to one of the best 4th of July events in Miami-Dade County - the [Town of Miami Lakes] fireworks at Veterans Park! Happy Fourth, Miami Lakers!”

    “This weekend I’ll be out on the boat celebrating our nation’s independence and watching the fireworks from the water and making sure we have a good time with the family,” Brandon Diaz said.

     “We normally go to the beach early and if I am with my family, we have lunch and wait for the fireworks at night,” Mayra Martinez said in Spanish.  “Sometimes we go to Hollywood Beach and if we don’t go, we stay close to home and have a barbecue.”

    “I will definitely be at Veterans Park (for the Town of Miami Lakes Annual July 4th Celebration) with friends and family. That’s been our tradition for quite some years now,” he said.
