    “Yes, we’re heading to Anna Maria Island, this is our first time going,” Mariela Abeledo said in comments that were translated from Spanish. “We have traveled [during] the last two years, but it has been local.”

     “No not right now, we’ll probably take them to the Youth Fair but as of right now [my son’s] birthday is coming up so we’re not really going out of town,” Katrina Hernandez said. “We did [travel last year], we went to Disney sometime in March. [If we do] it will be local."

     “I’m staying here,” Gisell Chang said.  “I don’t want to do the PCR [test] to get into the countries. I’m going to stay local, maybe in the United States.  I have traveled and have gone outside the country.”

     “We’re excited to visit Pigeon Forge, Tennessee,” Miami Lakes Councilman Luis Collazo said about traveling with his wife, Town Spokeswoman Clarisell De Cardenas and their sons, Cody, 4, and Lucas, 7. “It’s going to be our first trip. We’re looking forward to a nice family vacation together and doing all the touristy things.  We’re really looking forward to this trip after not leaving the state for two years."

     “We were going to the upper Keys, we’ll be down there for the whole week,” Ray Palacios said.  “[We have traveled], we just got back from Cabo San Lucas about a week ago, then [I was] in St. Louis, I just got back two days ago.  Not really, no, [the pandemic hasn’t stopped us].”
