Spearheaded by Councilmember Frank Mingo and the Town Council, the Town of Miami Lakes will host a toy drive benefiting His House Children's Home through Friday, December 13.
His House is a private, non-profit, faith-based organization, dedicated to restoring joy in the lives of children who have transitioned out of the foster care system. Established in 1989, His House provides residential care for abused, neglected and drug exposed children in a home like setting.
Drop-off donation bins have been placed at Town Hall (6601 Main Street), Mary Collins Community Center, (15151 Montrose Road), and Roberto Alonso Community Center (16500 N.W. 87 Avenue). Donations should be unwrapped toys for children 12 and under; monetary contributions and gift cards will also be accepted.
