  These are the current volunteer opportunities for children and adults in Miami Lakes. 

Giving Gators  Mae M. Walters Elementary School, 650 W. 33rd St., Hialeah

Feb. 5, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Students can earn 15 community service hours as they pack up boxes of books in a library assistance project. Masks are required. Register at Eventbrite, https://bit.ly/3Gw2Ply

The Town of Miami Lakes is looking for adult residents who wish to make a positive impact in the community. Volunteers are being sought for the Cultural Affairs Committee; Education Advisory Board; Veterans Committee; Neighborhood Improvement Committee and Blasting Advisory Board.
