The inaugural year of the West of Cannes Film Festival that took place in late November at the Main Street Playhouse was a success. Of the multitude of films submitted, the top winners were announced on Sunday, November 22. (From left) Christopher Alvarez, writer and director of “Nap” was selected as Audience Award Winner; Alfredo Hueck, writer and director of “La Dama De Blanco” (Lady in White) was named Narrative Category Winner; Ana Rodriguez, writer and director of “El Mago” was the Experimental Category Winner; and Anthony Mediavilla, lead actor of “Twelve Traditions” accepted the Grand Jury Prize Award on behalf of the director and writers of the film who could not attend.
