Registration is open for Winter Camp at Royal Oaks Park, hosted by the YMCA. Kids can enjoy outdoor adventures, team games and themed projects among other activities. Camp runs for two weeks; there are no camp days on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. Lawton Chiles Middle School's soccer team makes the playoffs

     The Lawton Chiles Middle School boys soccer team won six of its nine matches this season and won a postseason game for the first time in more than 20 years, a school official said. The team outscored its opponents 24-16 on the year -- including a 20-9 margin over the team’s last six matches.
