Miami Lakes K-8 Center's team of coders, Samuel Borges and Daniel Simeon, competed on April 3 at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair's Digi-Con Coding with Scratch Challenge. Mater Lakes Academy’s wrestling team made history at the FHSAA State Tournament in Kissimmee where senior Nick Luna brought home the school’s first state championship.
