BGEC’s Mariana Parra wins Spanish Narrative Contest

Bob Graham Education Center student Mariana Parra was honored by the Department of Bilingual Education and World Languages as a first place winner of the 2016-2017 Spanish Poetry and Narrative Contest “Me gusta el Español!” Mariana was recognized with a trophy and certificate at the awards ceremony which was held on Saturday, April 22, at El Centro Cultural Español.The school administration and principal Yecenia Martinez-Lopez (right) celebrate Parra’s world languages teacher, Barbara Jimenez (left), who was also recognized with a plaque.
