Miami Lakes mayor, town manager visit representatives in Washington, D.C.

Every year, officials from town government travel to Tallahassee or to Washington, D.C. to discuss issues that affect Miami Lakers. Shown on March 4 with U.S. Rep. Dieguez posted on social media that they spent the day on Capitol Hill lobbying for Community Project Funding grants and the long-sought Zip Code for Miami Lakes. The town officials also met with Congressman Carlos Gimenez. Dieguez thanked the staffs of U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody for meeting and listening to town issues.
