Halloween events for all ages

The Town of Miami Lakes has planned two Halloween special events including a Senior Social and a Halloween Extravaganza.

The Elderly Affairs Committee is hosting the Halloween Senior Social from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, at Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.

The event is free and will feature music, entertainment, raffles, and lunch. Prizes for best costume will be given to the Best Female, Best Male and Best Couple.

Halloween Extravaganza

Kids of all ages are invited to get spooked at the Youth Activities Task Force’s Halloween Extravaganza event on Friday, October 31. The free event will start the “night of fright” at 6 p.m. at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.

The free event will feature a frightful haunted trail, a scary Movie in the Park, a costume contest, trick-or-treating around the track, food trucks, music, games and activities.
