Jonathan Cruz, son of Homero and Maria Elena Cruz, proposed to his high school sweetheart of eight years, Lauren Romero, daughter of Jorge and Elizabeth Romero, on Christmas Eve. The couple are Miami Lakes residents and graduates of Monsignor Edward Pace High School. Romero graduated from the University of Miami in 2012 and is pursuing her doctorate degree in pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University. Cruz owns Nessen Forged and is currently studying at Florida International University.
