for Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church’s Spring Food Festival, to be held in Miami Lakes on May 14th through May 16th.
The celebration will take place at 6600 Miami Lakeway North.
This year the event
will happen in place of the church’s annual Spring Festival, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Food booths will offer Mexican, Jamaican, Cuban and Colombian, Filipino and other fare.
Food sold at the festival may be taken home, and curbside pick-up will be available.
The main stage will feature live music throughout the weekend.
Admission is free; CDC guidelines, including the wearing of masks, will be followed.
Bring blankets because movies will be shown, too: “The Greatest Showman” will be presented on Friday night, and “Raja and the Last Dragon” will be screened on Saturday evening.
Popcorn will be avail- able from OLL’s Boys Scouts and Girls Scouts.
A grand raffle drawing with three cash prizes will take place.
The 1st Place prize winner may take home up to $7,500, 2nd Place prize is up to $5,000 and 3rd Place is up to $2,500.
The drawing will take place Sunday night.
