Florida Blue Key inducted Marian Enriquez into the 100-year-old honor fraternity in April.

“I am so humbled by the privilege of being able to further serve my fellow students and Gator Nation in general,” Enriquez, 20, said.

She is a rising senior at the University of Florida studying for a double major in sociology and Spanish.

She lives in Miami Lakes with her parents Carlos Enriquez and Zaidis Alvarez and sisters Isabel and Bianca.

Enriquez joins notable Florida Blue Key members and alumni, including the late U.S. Sen. and Fla. Gov. Bob Graham

Her service at UF included being a student senator, where she founded its Hispanic Caucus, was on the senate’s Judiciary Committee and was vice-chair of the Information and Communications Committee, she said.

She was also president of the Cuban American Student Association.

Enriquez is a graduate of Miami Lakes K-8 Center and Monsignor Edward Pace High School, where she was student body president.
