Pace alumni Jenise Fernandez nominated for Best Traffic Reporter

Jenise Fernandez of WPLG Local Channel 10 was nominated for Best Traffic Reporter at the Third Annual Media Excellence Awards, handed out by Christopher Columbus High School’s student-run television station CCNN Live. 

Fernandez is a Monsignor Edward Pace High School alumni from the class of 2006.

The Miami native earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Florida International University, and interned at WPLG and WTVJ, and as a co-host for the Travel Channel’s Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches. 

Fernandez began her broadcasting career as a writer for WSVN Channel 7.
Fernandez was also a former Miss Miami-Dade County and placed fourth runner-up in the 2010 Miss Florida Pageant.
