Columbia University has accepted two students from Hialeah Gardens who also received QuestBridge scholarships.
Renee Morales, 18, is a senior at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Miami Lakes. Morales plans to attend the Ivy League school in New York City in the fall and hopes to major in Creative Writing and English Literature.
Katherine Estrada, 17, hopes to pursue a degree in Biology at Columbia.
She is a senior at Hialeah Gardens High School.
The QuestBridge Scholarship program awards four-year scholar- ships worth over $200,000 each to qualified students, and matches them to the top colleges and universities in the country, per its website.
