Town Police offer free crime prevention analysis reports

Town of Miami Lakes Police Division announced the addition of three certified Florida Crime Prevention Practitioners – Sergeant Sandra Machin of the Uniform Services section, Officer Juan Rodriguez of the Neighborhood Resource Unit, and Detective Myriam Nieves of General Investigations Unit. 

To earn the Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner designation, a participant must successfully complete three 40-hour courses offered through the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute. Designed for crime prevention and community oriented policing officers, the designation provides officers with the skills necessary to deliver comprehensive crime prevention programs.
