Miami Lakes announced that John P. McCall “Jack” will be the Grand Marshall for the 38th annual Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade set to take place on Sunday, November 5, beginning at 10 a.m.

McCall served in the U.S. Armed Services and has been a Miami Lakes resident for over 40 years. He has been an active member of the Miami Lakes Optimist Club serving the Town’s youth, and has been a member of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
He has been a member of both Principal’s Councils for Barbara Goleman Senior High School and Miami Lakes Middle School. He was recently inducted into the first class of Miami Lakes Sports Hall of Fame.

Sponsored in part by The Graham Companies, Miami Lakes AutoMall, the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes, and Vista Memorial Funeral Home, the patriotic parade features more than 3,000 participants including active-duty and retired military, veterans’ groups, local high school and middle school marching bands, JROTC units, and more.

The parade can be viewed from multiple locations along Ludlam Road from Bull Run Road to Eagles Nest. Parade watchers are encouraged to show their support by wearing red, white and blue, as well as waving flags as the parade participants go by.
