Pace students collect over a ton and a half of food during annual food drive

The Pace High School community continued its annual tradition of collecting food for its annual Tons of Love food drive. Beginning in October, Pace students, parents, teachers, staff, alumni, and friends began to gather non-perishable and canned food items to benefit the needy in South Florida. Similar to past years, the collected tally equalled over a ton-and-a-half of food.

On November 17, the Pace student body celebrated the collective efforts in the annual Thanksgiving/Tons of Love Mass. Following the mass, the Pace community and student organizations were recognized for their service and for the aid that will benefit local organizations. The junior Class of 2019 also won the coveted Tons of Love trophy for the third year in a row as the class who donated the most food during the drive.

The food donated goes out to ministries, pantries, and food banks across South Florida.
