Pace High students win awards at FBLA competition
Pace High School students won awards in 11 categories at the Future Business Leaders of America district competition ceremony held on February 2. The 22 FBLA students showcased their skills in various business and career categories including banking, finances, mobile app development, entrepreneurship, and journalism. 

Pace High continued its long tradition of FBLA success, which includes several state and national titles, as 18 of the 22 students won first place as part of a Pace team or individually in their categories.  

First place team winners were Adriana Almonte, Natalie Verdiguel, David Joseph for Business Ethics; Andrew Sanchez, Brian Gonzalez, and Armando Barbosa for Computer Video Game & Simulation Programming; Nicholas Callison, Lexie Perez, and Vanessa Valdes for Hospitality Management; Ariana Gutierrez and Isabella Gonzalez for Entrepreneurship; and Nicole Diaz, Grace Li, and Christelle Lacroix for Sports and Entertainment Management. 

Individual first place winners were Savion Constable for Coding and Programming, Daniella Conde for Intro to Business, Priscilla Velez for Impromptu Speaking, Deianeir Hoffenden for Help Desk, and Allison Oddman for Journalism. 

With their district awards, all 22 students qualified to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference next month from March 23 through 26.
