Eight residents have filed paperwork to fill Seat 4 on the Miami Lakes town council. The seat formerly held by Josh Dieguez became vacant when he was elected mayor on Nov. 26. Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Parish installed a Nativity scene at Miami Lakes Town Hall on Dec. 16.  Father Ivan Rodriguez, pastor of the church, blessed the display.
