Former HML quarterback Rohan Davy opens catering business in Baton Rouge

Former NFL and Arena football quarterback Rohan Davey is showing fans not only can he cook on the football field but in the kitchen as well.

The former Hialeah Miami Lakes High standout is the new owner and chef of Quick 6 Catering, an authentic Jamaican Cuisine based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Quick 6 Catering also caters to tailgate parties at LSU home games, especially against the Tigers’ SEC rivals, including Mississippi State, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

Davey, a former All-American at LSU and enshrined in the Tigers’ Hall of Fame, developed a knack for cooking in high school and dreamed of opening its own restaurant one day after he retired from playing professional football.

What better business than a catering service that has become popular outside the stadium, where the Jamaican-born quarterback demonstrated some of his magic, throwing for 4,415 yards and 29 touchdowns during his college career.

The New England Patriots drafted Davey in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft, where he backed up future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, and won two Super Bowls.
