Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School’s 22nd annual Children’s Fashion Show and luncheon, “An Evening in Morocco,” was a stylish fundraising success. The show was held October 20 at the Doubletree Miami Airport Convention Center. It featured 130 student models, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, and drew more than 600 guests. The Miami Lakes Jingle Bell Jog is right around the corner, as 1,500 people are expected to participate in the 5k run and walk starting at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, December 1. The Miami Lakes Veterans Committee said the event will honor and show appreciation for military soldiers and veterans, and raise money to benefit those who are suffering from PTSD.
