Elderly Affairs Committee hosts presentation on senior resources

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee will partner with Miami Jewish Health to host a health lecture panelist discussing Senior Community Resources and where to obtain help from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, in Town Hall Council Chambers, 6601 Main Street.
Topics to be covered for seniors living outside the home will include:
• The role of a Placement Agency
• Characteristics of independent living
• Assisted Living and Managed Care communities
• Roles of Care Managers and Guardians
• Elder Law and Medicaid Law
• Advanced Directives, Wills, Health Care Surrogacy
• Insurance consultations
• Pre-planning for funeral needs
• All staff health services
