The Town of Miami Lakes received a $525,000 federal grant to replace and install a backup generator at the Roberto Alonso Community Center. PC Magazine released a survey in February that ranks the Town of Miami Lakes 13th out of 60 in the United States and Canada of the best Work-From- Home-Cities for 2021. The magazine cited several factors for the town’s high placement, though it says only 6.2 percent of Miami Lakers work from home.
