Annual book talk offers tears, healing

The Cultural Affairs Committee presented their annual book talk on September 17 at Miami Lakes Town Hall.

This year the committee hosted local author Elizabeth Castillo, author of “Dear Healing Heart.” The book is about reconnecting with yourself while caring for a

special-needs child.

CAC Vice Chair Elsa Reus said the evening was emotional for mothers with special need children.
