Talented young singers and musicians are wanted for the 5th annual Miami Lakes Rocks! Music Festival scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue. The popular event is sponsored by the Youth Activities Task Force.
Auditions are open for those under 18 years of age and are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, at the Mary Collins Community Center at Picnic Park West.
All bands, soloists, deejays, and musicians of all genres are encouraged to participate. The music festival was created to provide an avenue of artistic expression to the youth of the town, and promoting cultural and community spirit.
