SLE hosts Under the Stars movie night

Spanish Lake Elementary hosted their first movie night under the stars for this school year on Sept. 6. Miami-Date County Commissioner Esteban L. Bovo, Jr. sponsored the event. “Coco,” a Disney movie, was shown on the campus at 7940 NW 194th St. to a large crowd of students and their families.

A Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High student inspired by lessons learned in BizCamp has created an all natural hair product.Sophomore Kimberly Downer, 15, who is enrolled in the school’s Digital Media Magnet program, says her Natural Beauty treatment does not have preservatives and keeps hair healthy and moisturized.Downer developed the product during last summer’s camp, a program designed by The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.It gives...
