Deadline nears for Future Leaders scholarship signup

  Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board (EAB) announced it is accepting applications for the 2018 Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship presented by The Graham Companies. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are residents of the Town of Miami Lakes. Mayor Manny Cid, paid a visit to the Miami Lakes K-8 Center Law Studies class. He spoke to students from Jennifer Simeon’s 7th grade class about his career and daily life as mayor of thw community. Students were able to ask Cid questions and get to know more about current events in the town. Students enjoyed this wonderful experience.

  Christopher McCready was born with the talent of visual art. The 17-year-old has already won an award for his craft.
