Mater Academy hosts Read-A-Thon

  On December 15, the Mater Academy FBLA Chapter organized the first FBLA Read-a-Thon. The event was attended by over 150 elementary school students from both Mater Elementary and Mater Gardens.  The project centered on eight stations where chapter members read children books such as Cinderella and The Lion King.   Pace High School senior Amanda Prats was awarded the Barbara L. Frye Journalism Scholarship by the Florida Capitol Press Corps.
