Our Lady of the Lakes (OLL) fifth grader Rafael De La Cova (right) and eighth grader Karina Sarandrea (left), were selected to represent the school at the 75th Annual Miami Herald Spelling Bee. Over 100 students from across Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties were present. De La Cova placed among the top 25, making it past the first round.

  The Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High Model United Nations (UN) students competed at the Miami International Conference for the Simulation of United Nations (MICSUN) held at the University of Miam on April 18.
