The Miami Lakes Garden Club, led by resident Dottie Wix, is hosting an Easter Parade Tea Party on Saturday, April 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 N.W. 87 Ave. The tea party will feature a hat contest, basket drawings and prizes. Autism Awareness Day was commemorated on Monday, April 3 at Bob Graham Education Center. Students helped raise funds for the school’s team, Hope for Autism/UM Card of Miami Lakes. The Bobcat family generously participated and helped bring awareness for Autism. The day included live animals, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy and pizza. The school’s PTSA made the event possible.
